Very useful add-on! In TB148, there seems to be a conflict with the Start with Inbox Add-On, as described in its reviews: "In TB 148, it indeed starts with Inbox if there is a mail in the Inbox. If the Inbox is empty, it will select the latest read message marked in a subfolder (but: this is true only if the add-on "last selected message" is active)." Maybe this conflict can be sorted out so that both add-ons can be used?

I tried the Addon last-selected-message with the current Extended Support Release of Thundebird and it did what it promised:

The most recently selected messages from various folders remained selected after closing and reopening Thunderbird.

For now I don't have long term experience with the addon and e.g. many folders and messages.

No, I am sorry, you're not right. I have double checked with fresh install and surely visible panel, still does nothing. In fact it does not matter if plugin is installed or not. Absolutely no effect at all.

What kind of OS do you use ? I tested addon on Windows and Linux. Do you see in Options addon number of saved messages or there is only zero ? Of course, the value indicates how many messages have been marked/displayed since the add-on was installed

Version 1.2 it is not functional in the version 115.16.2 (64bit). Version 2.0 cannot be installed because it is said to be incompatible with this version. So a stalemate.

Do you have enabled Message Pane (F8) ? Addon saves selected message after displaying its content, so the Message Pane should be visible.
Version 2.0 is for the current version of Thunderbird, which is version 128.

Can you give us an easier way to contact you? It doesn't work in Unified folder mode.

I give this 2* because of the premise -- it is a good idea. However, it simply does nothing that I can see.
