It would be a great add-on if it just formatted markdown on paste, but it falls into the same trap as all the other markdown plugins by adding hidden markup to message code in a misguided attempt to provide "un-render" functionality, which breaks undo, messes up message code, and often ruins formatting altogether.

Worked first time unlike the other markdown add ons. Nobody writes emails in markdown so those other add ons have limited use. On the other hand AI generated markdown is pasted into emails all the time so this add on has great product fit.
