I like very much Cardbook for all the advanced functionalities. But there is no more forum to discuss issues, which sometimes happen. For a few days, I don't have access to Cardbook by clicking on the addresses of an email. It only shows the option to add it to Thunderbird's address book. I have tested different settings and relaunch without success.

Haven't tried to install - this was initially recommended by GoogleAI, but I cannot imagine how anyone could trust this extension: it gets complete access to Thunderbird and the computer, and it has a non-existent broken link to a privacy policy and an invalid contact email address for the extensions supposed author! Yet, it is being updated regularly? Seems like playing with fire!

I am still on TB 115.18 with CB 94.5. In later CB versions birthday synchronisation with the calendar unfortunately does not work properly any more.

I am using the birthday field in CB and would like to have the dates shown in a separate birthdays.ics calendar, which is included as follows:
file:///d:/mozilla/thunderbird/profiles/user/calendar-data/birthdays.ics
In CB settings, the birthday calendar is selected.

As soon as the first birthday event is in the past, calendar.ics gets write protected, the calendar selection in CB breaks and a synchronisation is no longer possible.

Only when selecting calendar offline support, the error does not come back. But then the calendar is no longer selected in CB settings.

CB is a very useful TB Extension, but with this bug I can only rate it with 2 stars.

How can I get this to work again?
