This is an extension that can translate emails themselves, rather than popping up a window or redirecting to Google Translate. Because it is LLM-based, the translations are natural, and it can translate HTML emails as they are. The original email remains below the translated email.

It is one of the most modern translation extensions available for Thunderbird, and I think it is the best choice for casual use.

I was also able to confirm its operation with Betterbird.

The model is hardcoded to gemini-2.0-flash-exp, and I believe it would be better if there were options to change the model or use any provider. Cerebras' gpt-oss-120b would provide faster and more accurate translations.
