Markdown Viewer

Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

It's simple (nothing's configurable) and gets the job done. The style sheet is fine. And it *can* read local files. So far, so good :)

The only drawback is that tab title is a hard-coded "Markdown Viewer" string. Among all the possibilities I could think of (file path, file name, first line, first title... or a combination of those) that's probably among the less useful.

YesScript

For your interest, it works with Status-4-Evar. You just need to customize the bar and add the YesScript icon.

Memory Fox

Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Finally, I can use Firefox for a couple of hours and after closing all tabs it will no longer use 75% of my physical memory. IMHO it's a superb accomplishment.

Sadly, it all comes at a price. There're frequent moments when Firefox becomes unresponsive for a few minutes, typically after being in the background for a while (and every time I resume my computer from hibernation). I still have to play with the plug-in configuration as setting everything to "3 min" (whatever that means--the dialogue labels are as verbose as useless) had not apparent effect. So I'm not sure whether I'll keep it or not but, as I said, you can bet it does recover lost memory.

(I wish someone would write a similar plug-in so Firefox does not stop responding so often when switching tabs.)

text/plain

Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Apparently, Firefox 4 has finally implemented this functionality so you now get 6 similar (and basically duplicate) items in your context menu: 3 from Firefox (in your browser's lang), 3 from the add-on (in English). Sadly, you can't just uninstall the extension because the built-in feature is not as powerful: it will not detect e-mail addresses and it sometimes misses some web site addresses. So text/plain is still necessary though it could benefit from some tweaking. Too bad it looks abandoned :(

RSS Icon

This add-on still needs a lot of polishing:

- It conflicts with the built-in "Subcribe" button (it adds its icon as background image below the button's icon).
- It places the new icon to the right of the "Star" icon, thus it flickers from left to right when loading pages.
- It doesn't have hover effects.
- Even the Add-On site URL is fake!
- Example.com

Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant

Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

Beware that every time you update your .NET Framework (possibly through Windows Update automatic notifications) you'll get a new version of this add-on. You won't get prompted and every new version will be harder to remove.

Be aware that this extension cannot be uninstalled unless you hack in the Windows registry and remove some files manually.

FxIF

Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

The extension is simple and elegant and it displays the information where it belongs (the properties dialog). However, it only shows a few basic exif fields. If you want to seem them all, you need another tool.
