MassEmailer is a marketing email campaign manager for Thunderbird that helps you send bulk emails with rate limiting and features that include customizable templates, contact list management, campaign scheduling, all while respecting email servers.

- Import recipient lists and use dynamic placeholders (e.g.
{{name}}{{email}}{{company}}) - Send emails with rotating subject lines
How It Works:
- Install the add-on and create your first campaign to open the Campaign Manager
- Select a folder containing your template email
- Assign a template to your campaign. If you are using placeholders, make sure they match your uploaded recipients table. E.g. placeholder
{{name}}should match the column "name". To:{{email}}should match a column "email" - Choose whether to send now or later (sending later places emails in your Outbox)
- Set your sending rate (e.g., emails per hour)
- Enable Random Mode to introduce time variation (e.g., if sending 1 email every 10 seconds, actual interval will vary between 6–18 seconds)
- Enable Logic Mode to create batches with cooldowns (e.g., 25 emails per batch with a 5-minute pause)
- Use Template Sender to send from the email shown in the template
- Or select a different email account to override the sender in the template
- Import recipients from CSV or Excel (first row will be column headers used as placeholders in your email body)
- Click Run Campaign to start sending
Note: Using Microsoft Email Essentials, we successfully delivered 500 emails in one run with a rate of 260/hour, using Random + Logic Mode (25-email batches with 5-minute cooldowns).
Known Issues:
- Restarting the email client will delete all campaigns
- After long periods with the add-on closed, you might need to deactivate and activate the key again
- Sending emails is intentionally slow to deal with erratic OnStopCopy Error (0x80070057) and allow recovery
