It seems like this problem is not related to the TB version 140 or 148, but due to a change on Microsoft side, not allowing older versions of EAS than current 16.1 version: https://office365itpros.com/2025/12/16/exchange-activesync-161/
Reading this article, I wonder if EAS is the best approach, it seems like there is a new API called "Outlook Mobile", but not sure if available for Desktop? BR Jan

It worked flawlessly for years till today. Now I'm getting error message 'Server does not support ActiveSync 2.5 or 14.0 (only 16.1). TbSync will not work with this ActiveSync server. Please fix it if possible!
I'm using Thunderbird 148. But this problem was showing before I finally upgraded from a much older version (I think it was 115 or so, and I used TbSync 4.7 for a long time on it without problems).

Firstly, excellent add-on to Thunderbird. Do you know when an update will be available that supports 148.0?
I've checked https://addons.thunderbird.net/de/thunderbird/addon/tbsync/versions/?page=1#version-4.16 and this only goes upto 140.

One of the most important add-ons.
If it doesn't seem to work for TB 143, you just have to increase the value 140 to 145 in manifest.json, and then it works again.

Does not seem to support version 140.4.0esr. (Add on running, but the configuration link is greyed out.) Review field doesn't make any sense here, so I gave it 5 - not fair to penalize

Not supported by latest release on the Release Channel - 142.0. Alas, Google-4-TbSync as well.
I know. They want us on the Release Channel, and they keep releasing new versions, but this makes it a nightmare for add-on/extension developers to keep up.

It is a great addon if it works, but it does not work with current version for many months and does not work even with ESR

The developer won't be happy about this, but to test compatibility with Thunderbird v139, I edited the "manifest.json" file in the *.xpi file (in the ActiveSync extension *.xpi file, too) to reflect a max version of 139.*.
It works! Beautifully! So, I don't think it will be difficult to make it compatible with v139+

Only had this add-on for a hot second (with the Exchange add-on-add-on), but I was going mad trying to sync a professional 365 calendar where admins had set sharing to no details out of org. So far, it was easy to set up and did exactly what I wanted. <3

Wenn es funktioniert dann sehr gut, aber ab Thunderbird-Version 136.0 funktioniert es wieder nicht!

Me too it started to fail for the last weeks. Always causes "not responding" trying to dismiss reminders. Will have to uninstall.

Thanks a lot for this great little sync tool / family of tools!
It's a great productivity feature, and it would be great if Thunderbird would offer it by default.
...and from what I understood Thunderbird should do so from Version 128, natively, but at least for me this is not the case or I still don't find the settings / instructions to let me sync my calenders. If anyone has a how-to, thanks a lot in advance!
For now, I'm very thankful that you updated TB Sync to work again with TB128 - really a relieve!
I only stumple upon random synchronization/login issues, most likely the same as Petr Vones reported here on June 23, 2024 and created bug 725 for. Happy new year to everyone!

The app does the trick. However I was searching for another way than just adding an external calendar to TB since it doesn't handle categories/labels not well. At least not the colours. This app sadly doesn't do this neither.
