My Reviews

Classic TB2

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Used the Addon version before this and I wouldn't run TB without it.
Next time I'm forced to upgrade Tbird, I'll be looking for a different email program.
Mail toolbar buttons won't appear though (on Win7, I tested TB 60-60.9.1 32/64bit). Ended up using CompactHeader to move the buttons to the side... I think the icons are too large for the tool bar height so they don't appear.
(View -> Toolbars -> Customize) as explained in the description does not do anything.

Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Lets you install addons marked as incompatible. This is great if you have a non-standard browser (like Pale Moon).
I would like to see an option to disable the incompatibility warnings in the Add-on Manager and even allow you to automatically check and install updates in the Manager. Still, it works.

Thank you. Makes TB 31 tolerable.
Recommend you use "Rise of the Tools" with this (although it would be nice to see something similar integrated."

Rise of the Tools

5 out of 5. Does just what is says on the tin.

Mozilla really needs to stop making pointless UI changes.

Back when development halted I modded v0.4.7 changing the left mouse to a fit width/fit height toggle and the middle mouse to fit window/reset. Edit: Development has slowed again, so I modded 0.6.3 the same way. Wish this was a feature. Will share if there is interest.

CS Lite Mod

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love the cookiesafe series of addons.

I modded the minversion to install this on v3.6 and it seems to be a bit more stable than the "CookieSafe (FF 4 compatible)" version.
Oddly, neither version will show me the last 10 hosts, I'm not sure why.

F.B. Purity - Cleans Up Facebook

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works mostly as advertised. I love this. It lets you take back your facebook page.
Custom blacklist is great for filtering liked articles from sources you hate.
Be aware: Liked or recommended links are filtered regardless of your setting for the option. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future version.

CompactHeader

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Beta3 prevents attachments from being opened. Stick with the v1.2.4.
Edit: Tested 1.4.0 Beta1. I can confirm this issue is fixed (either by author or tbird update.)
Upgraded rating to 5 stars. Mozilla should have made this a feature.

For a minute there I thought this could "Combine and Decode" like Outlook Express.
Dude, you got my hopes up... don't know what it really does do though.

CompactHeader

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Better, but doesn't fix the biggest problem: The use of a small font with really big line spacing.
3 lines isn't out of the question if you could reduce all the empty space.
2 lines could be more compact if you relocated the email's date... because it really is 3 lines high with a blank line #2.
My only other complaint is that the 'flat buttons' cause the width of the header to get fatter when you mouse over them... it's a bit sloppy looking.

CS Lite

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

@s0ma23: I ran into the same problem. It's a new security option in 3.5+.
Go to Tools/Options/Privacy (tab).
Click on 'Settings' by 'Clear history when FF closes'.
UNcheck 'Site Preferences'.
Problem bypassed.
@Rob Beckman: I'd like to see the information stored somewhere else in a future version so other site preferences can be cleared without effecting CS.
