MicroBird for TB is perfect for what I hoped to find in a theme. Much more than just menu bar coloring or designs as other add-ons offered, it also expanded the portlet dividers and allowed for font/color customizations. As a long time user of the Walnut theme (which I also liked very much and which offers same type of customizations), I now use only Kayser developed add-ons. By combining these with the TB built in options for fonts/colors, gives me many options for customizing to what I like/desire in TB.

Walnut for Thunderbird 2.0.32 is a step backward. The Add-ons Manager window is inexplicably now much too narrow. As a result, the printed description of each item is all scrunched up such that the content of each field intrudes on the columns of other fields. Had to shake my head at the claim of "improved main window styling." Certainly not the case with the add-ons manager window. And there is now so much wasted space to the right of the add-ons window. Please restore the full width display of previous versions.
Furthermore, this theme no longer plays nicely with the add-on T-Bird Titlebar Tweaker. The minimize button, close button, and other buttons in the upper right corner no longer function. I suppose the author of that add-on will be responsible for fixing that problem with a subsequent release, but I cannot help but ask: why is all this necessary? So many additional problems for so little net gain.
Unfortunately, this is becoming all too common with Mozilla products. After many years, I have finally dumped Mozilla's Firefox for Opera and Chrome. Guess I'll now have to start looking for an email alternative to replace Thunderbird. Sigh...
If you send me an email than I can forward you a version to test.

I'm very happy with this theme on my netbook under Ubuntu 15.04 with LXDE. I got one of these ideapads with 1024x576 px and every pixel is needed for information and not for roundes corners and big icons.
The printing bug as mentioned in the entry before seems to be solved. I got no printer attached at the moment, but i could create a PDF from a specified week in Lightning, so i assume printing to paper should work, also.
Many thanks to alfredkayser

For those of us who like to keep things simple, this theme is a godsend! The small file size also makes TB noticeably more responsive. And, on top of all this, the author is quite clearly devoted to keeping his themes/addons up-to-date. Thank you alfredkayser!

I'd like to thank the developer for making this. I particularly dislike what I think of as clunky icons. Those in this add on are very pleasing to me and I'm very happy I selected this one.
One thing I would like to request is that instead of a green garbage pail for "non-junk" mail, that there be no garbage pail at all. That one give me pause as I go through the mail deleting all the junk.
Other than that I think that this is superb and suits me to a tee
