It sounds like a good idea, unfortunately there's no explanation about or even a link to how to install the REST service.

Edit: After I was pointed in the right direction and installed the service with some help of the developer himself, I am very pleased. The Thunderbird implemention is really easy and elegant!

What would be nice is to insert existing tickets in the same formatting style.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.11). 

The package comes with full installation instructions, which are even readable online: http://www.thregr.org/~wavexx/software/dl/README.html (and I point out that the link is included in the description of the addon itself).
