What is the point of a Web-ad-blocker's being an email client's extension? Please create one that removes ads in emails.

Not only does this work great, this works great as far back as Firefox 12.

I can't use it ever since I upgraded Firefox from v17 to V35 it has prevented gmail from loading. When I disabled it gmail started loading again.

I like the idea of this fork of ADP, but why does it lag my firefox ? I totally replaced ADP by this add-on and my firefox gets laggy. Same problem on FF 24ESR & FF 31ESR. I use Windows XP SP3. Please fix and sent me a mail after ;)

I've been using TrueBlock Plus for many years in SeaMonkey & Firefox. (Oddly enough finding it within the plugin list within Firefox isn't possible anymore. You have to use a separate search engine to find it.) Yea, it's AdBlock Plus with a few minor tweaks. Thus they lose two stars for that. But they gain back one big star for not asking for handouts or turning off the blocking after an update, because they want you to make a donation.

If websites controlled the content of their ads better there wouldn't be a need for these plugins. Having one of these plugins is also a great deterrent to having malware injected into your system from unscrupulous advertisers.

TrueBlock Plus gets my vote for best adblocker.

I thought I was in internet hell until I removed this from Mozilla. Or perhaps I just thought that the Wifi at Starbucks was internet hell. Now I am in Internet Heaven, flying across pages without feeling as if my computer was being dragged along a dirt road. This addon really slowed down my browser, I will never use it again.

Is this a joke? The acceptable ads feature can easily be turned off. Why are you wasting precious web space with this garbage.

this does not block the video ads on the site dramafever.com. they use the hulu player ads and this is whitelisted in both the fanboy and easy list filter preference.

I needed an AD blocker that didn't pick and choose which ADs it blocked and it NEEDED to get rid of those ridiculous ADS on youtube. This is a miracle! o_o... Four stars because I JUST got it but it works beautifully so far.

Nice addon, but missing element hiding helper

Eric, Thank you. I needed this. Great Job.

This is perfect! AdBlock Lite mysteriously removed the right-click block ability to custom-block images, but that works with Trueblock.

This is a great addon, the original Adblock plus philosophy restored, "Block ads!".
No need to look at settings, blocks all possible ads by default.

Please ignore any FAKE REVIEWS by Adblock plus cult members, they do not use this addon and cannot give a true review.

See how angry they get when people leave their cult...

This user has 2 previous reviews of this add-on.

I have both Adblock and Trueblock installed plus custom subscriptions and plugin helpers onboard. See no crap anywhere, ever, including social buttons and YT comments.
Update: I'm using the light and easy addon Adguard now. With Ghostery.

All I can say is that I am glad someone has the ability to fork the code to his or her liking.

I don't get what all the negative fuss is about. As far as I'm concerned it's a win-win for everybody.

Great work Eric, and Thanks !

I applaud the sentiment behind this addon and hope it will become a viable alternative to Adblock Plus, but as long as it retains the advertising code of Adblock Plus 2.x, I cannot use it.

I will continue to watch this addon with great interest and hope it develops into a real alternative. Until then I will continue using Adblock Plus 1.3.10

I agree with Hulibobu, this is just a plain copy of an great add-on.
The advertisements that adblock plus doesn't block aren't even noticeble, and if you still want to block them this is easely done.
I also think that showing some kind of advertisement should be allowed to keep the internet free.

Truly nice, but I'd really prefer every piece of code related to 'allow ads' to be completely removed. Just to turn off by default the evil, ain't enough in my opinion.

You install an addon while it supposed to block ads by default, and instead, you get an addon ( Ad Block Plus ) that ensures ads which paid the author of ABP will pass... Unexplainable madness, or rather... money wins every time.

Forget Adblock, which is now simply a farce - google for details and the truth about "new adblock" - Trueblock seems to be the new kid on the block and it works already pretty good
