I can't change the location. In the small popup box, the change location button does nothing and it appears to be greyed out. There's a spinning graphic. What is this?

I mentioned yesterday that I have 2.2.4 and I have those disabled.

Now I can't even select a location. I enter a zip code and press enter or press the search icon and it does nothing. I do see the rotating star thing (loading/working) for a fraction of a second.

Mine was stuck so I deleted the forecastfox.sqlite file. Now it's showing Now (which is Friday), Tue, Wed instead of Now, Fri, Sat.
Update: Next day it's still showing the above, with no changes.

Also I can't change my location, though it doesn't seem to be showing the temp for my location. In options, when I enter my zip, it zooms in on the location on the map, and the white box appears, but the select button doesn't work. Also there's something spinning like it's stuck. FYI, I have to disable Noscript globally to get it to go this far. Allowing scripts from each relevant site (except google-analytics) for the page doesn't work.

I've installed 2.2.4 and the Add-On bar add-on, as suggested here, but it doesn't work!

When I installed version 30 (skipped 29), then installed The Addon Bar add on, I saw Forecast Fox, until I restarted Firefox, and haven't seen it since. I have an entry in about:config called "extensions.checkCompatibility.temporaryThemeOverride_minAppVersion" which I have set to my current FF version (31.0).
Is that the entry being discussed by others here?
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Forecast Fox 2.2.4 a couple times, but still don't see it.

Edit: I can go to the toolbar Customize menu in Firefox, and add Forecast Fox back to the Add-On bar, but it's gone again shortly after. How can I make it stick?

Wonder what happened to the developer?
