CookieKeeper
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Cookie Keeper is the basis of the first cookie manager to provide the most vital 3 basic features everyone needs to protect privacy. Only 1 small enhancement remains, to make this 1,000 Stars!
Currently, a Left click on the drop arrow menu does the same thing as left click on the icon.
Please optimize the UI for this excellent refinement and enhancement of Cookie Culler 1.4 so that left click on the icon will Delete All Cookies (except Protected, of course). Having a left-click on both icon and drop menu perform the same function is redundant especially when what is really needed above all is to have a button to delete all cookies with a single left click.
All Firefox cookie managers so far have failed to provide the 3 minimum features everyone needs. CookieKeeper is the first to get this close... I have tried them all.
1. be able to protect specific cookies, not just by site but BY SITE AND FUNCTION. You have this!
2. retain only user specified Protected Cookies in between Firefox restarts. Yes!
3. Optimized basic UI so that a simple single left click on the icon Deletes all cookies except protected... Important!!
This is the most logical use of Defaults for an Addon with this function since it should be the most frequently used function. Cookies need to be removed OFTEN. Cookies need to be enabled long enough to have everything work then they need to be deleted. I have other Addons that will do this but they do not honor cookies protected with Cookie Culler or CookieKeeper. Those 2 functions must be present in one Addon. Yours has everything except an ergonomic 1 click design for deleting cookies.
Alternatively, should others disagree, the left click function should be user selectable and one option should be as I have described (see options for Firefox Addon Complete YouTube Saver for an example of user configuration of menus)
SO, once Options are set, and Protected Cookies are set, the drop-menu is easily accessed with a single left click AND, about a 100 times a session, all I have to do is left click the main button!!! Yes!! And all those corporate tracking web barnacles are ejected toast! Right out of the Cookiesphere!
With Cookie Culler, I have to click TWICE to Delete all but unprotected cookies, which, done often, becomes drudgery.
Right now, with CookieKeeper I have to Left Click, Drag, and divert attention to the menu long enough to release the mouse on the 3rd menu line, which is a tedious unnecessarily repetitious distraction. This is a simple idea. Having to use so many words to describe it makes it seem cumbersome.
Please make a Left Click on the icon Delete All Cookies except Protected Cookies.
A click on the drop-menu should open the menu as it does now. Your ordering for your menu options is good and needs no change. (unless you remove Delete all cookies from the menu as redundant, but I might leave it as is for drop-list addicts)
The fact that both left and right clicks do the same thing is also perhaps encouraging in that probably you would make this change soon anyway. : )
Congratulations. The bases are loaded, it's a sell out crowd. They're beginning to chant....
A little voice reaches out... I can do this... The pitcher winds up... it's over the plate... it's a great swing!
It's gone! (WTF? I don't even like organized sports - maybe its the Chemtrails, or the Fluoride...)
NOTE: I would have emailed you this review-suggestion but I do not use Gobble mail.
Also, A shortcut key would be useful but that has to be user configurable so as not to interfere with existing key definitions and that is much less of a priority. Thank You!
Complete YouTube Saver

Thanks C G! Your 4.2 update counteracts the latest waves of YouTube Monkey Wrenching.
I have found CYS to be absolutely THE most comprehensive and well designed power tool for capturing YT videos in situ. For a long time I pondered the low ratio of Reviews to Installs here and at first I wondered, are people not pleased? Could this be... Laziness in Thought?? Then I realized... This is one of those well kept secrets that you don't want anyone to know about or soon everyone will be using it; then YT's bandwidth will be saturated. And *Gobble will break it. (*Gobble = google)
However, I shall no longer acquiesce to the silence.
There are many Good YT video savers and a few Great ones each with their own unique approach. CYS exemplifies the vast difference between Good, and Great. I love the extensive configurable adaptive menu with optimized access to the full selection of resolutions and formats. For this task CYS attains the elegance of simplicity. A complete thought, focusing on doing one task perfectly, streamlined and with style. To use this tool is to experience gratitude and a sense of being indebted. Forget 5, I give this Infinite Suns out of 5.
If I could only have 1 Addon, This is THE ONE.
UnPlug

On Sep13-12 in the U.S. and Sep14-12 elsewhere YT's switch to the RTMP protocol broke most if not all YT downloaders including CYS, Unplug, and all others I use and checked. For now the Video DownloadHelper Addon has a working update and the Video Audio Myxa Addon works. Also Zamzar was asked to stop offering YT video saving.

Palemoon: Working great in 3.6.13 with all my FF Addons. When I installed from this page the install link failed for Palemoon when it switched to the Addons page to show progress. It said Cannot install from that location. I tried 3 times. Warn if Addons...etc. was enabled but I did not get that prompt. Adblock = Disabled. Referer = Normal. To get the xpi I copied the url into the location bar, hit Enter and it installed.
Firefox 3.6.8: Working great [the drop in ram is fantastic!] but after toggling it on / off to see the huge drop in RAM via Task Manager, right clicking on the Add to Firefox link to Copy the xpi's URL to get a copy to save locally, I got a totally blank context menu. After a couple of min. and switching tabs a few times it was ok.
Using Memory Fox defaults as I find nothing to explain what to tweak if the Events shown in the log are not as desired acc. to your site.
Also, at http://www.browsermemory.com the "Current Pale Moon Supported Updates" Download link with the Palemoon icon points to http://www.google.com/chrome?hl=en&brand=CHMI the same as the link for your " Current Google Chrome Supported Updates" Download link.
To add Memory Fox to both Firefox and Palemoon I installed the Addon in each. To use it for All Applications and/or have it Run at Startup would I enable those options from only 1 browser's Addon Options dialog? Or both? My guess is one. Will test those features later. Suggest clarifying this somewhere.
Thankyou to the person who mentioned Palemoon here! It has opened a vast door in space-time.
Thankyou to Mozilla and all the plugin developers especially those who have seen their hard work laid waste by an unstable moving target.
Thankyou to IDEVFH for this rebirth of Firefox!!

Copy URL +

Please see my Previous review re: Copyurlplus-v1.3.4.xpi link for the context of this post.
Use these lines in copyurlplusOverlay.js:
case 'title':
copytext = KEYS['%TITLE%'] + KEYS['%EOL%'] + KEYS['%URL%'];
break;
case 'titlesel':
copytext = KEYS['%TITLE%'] + KEYS['%EOL%'] + KEYS['%URL%'] + KEYS['%EOL%'] + KEYS['%EOL%'] + KEYS['%SEL%'] + KEYS['%EOL%'];
break;
case 'sel':
copytext = KEYS['%SEL%'] + KEYS['%EOL%'] + KEYS['%URL%'];
break;
Joy!
Copy URL +

The copyurlplus-v1.3.4.xpi link at GeoApps Downloadable Files http://geoapps.com/files.shtml works with FF 3.6.8 and Palemoon. The btcorps dl was inaccessible and all other copyurl+ 1.3.4 links were just 1.3.2 + MaxVer edits, ok for Firefox 3.6.8 but not Palemoon. I needed a truly updated xpi for Palemoon current (3.6.13). The one above works in Palemoon, Firefox's Window's optimized little sister.: ) Joy!
Also, before installing it, I edited copyurlplusOverlay.js in the .jar in the .xpi for the order I prefer and to remove quotes. I made the 3 main event definitions: 1. Title URL, 2. Title URL Sel, and 3. Sel URL. I also improved the linefeed format. See my next post for the code. Editing this review lost its formatting.

Firefox 3.6.3 Radar Ani Failure - FIXED
This is a fix for anyone who lost radar image updates - for me this happened in Firefox 3.6.3 after it was working fine for months.
Browser: Firefox 3.6.3 installed over 3.0.6.
Weather Addon: Forecastbar Enhanced - version 0.9.6
Weather addon and radar animation were working perfectly.
Today Jul13-10 I noticed the Radar ani had not been updated since June 4, 2010.
I found this Addon page but no solution. I do not intend to update from Forecastbar Enhanced - version 0.9.6 at the moment.
To fix the lost ani problem:
Go to Accuweather by clicking the Radar icon.
Select Animate and set Your Location using the drop lists (NOT the zoomable map at lower right!).
Right click the animation and choose Copy Image URL to copy the image url to the clipboard.
Open the weather Addon's Options and select Radar then Custom and (I left size at size 640x480).
Paste the image URL you copied into the Custom URL field and click Apply.
The Animation drop list is grayed out but no matter.
Weather Settings will update and with the mouse over the radar icon radar animation should be working.
Is this URL stable? Not sure but it can be updated.
Be sure you are getting the URL of the animated GIF or you will only get a fixed image.
This is the URL I got for North America > Canada > Toronto:
http://sirocco.accuweather.com/sat_mosaic_640x480_public/IR/isacant.gif

QuickDrag
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I tried 2.0.2.1 with Firefox 2.0.0.20 (FF upgrade=downgrade! ;)
Drag/save images works with that option enabled but my FF already does that.
Re feature: "A URL will be saved instead of opened in a new tab if the Alt key is held while dropping."
Alt+Drag link fails to save link target:
When I Alt+Drag a link (to an image) I want saved, text is selected from where I click on the link to the window edge + nothing is dropped.
The only option enabled is "Use drag/drop to dl images".
Thanks.

oops :) the star icon was from some other addon (a toolbar icons & function library) but it fails in FF2 where yours works in FF2. Thanks!

In FF 1.5.0.1 it installed & works perfectly. You have expanded my vision. Thank you. I love the Star rising button!
