Expression Search - NG
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
THANK YOU so much for updating this. Along with Nostalgy, this is the main reason I use Thunderbird. Super powerful search, there is nothing else for T-bird that compares.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.9).Nostalgy++/ Manage, search and archive emails

SO glad to see Nostalgy updated for TB78! This is one of two reasons why I use Thunderbird at all. This is basically the 'power user' tool for email. Thank you opto!
Thanks also for the cc/bcc options in compose (major TB78 interface mistake now corrected!).

Great add-on, brought so much value to me, I use it literally 100 times a day. Like many others, I am desperately waiting for it to be updated for TB 68! This functionality should be built into TB, in my opinion.

This is a great add-on. The way it filters emails and the many ways of searching are all significantly more useful than Thunderbird's built-in search, in my opinion. I am praying for it to be updated for the newer versions of T-bird! I'm keeping my Thunderbird old in order to keep using this add-on.

I am glad to find somebody else had this idea -- and took the time to implement it! It's a good tool -- every email program needs it.
The interface is a little clunky, but this is minor. The only real glitch I've found so far is that the screen 'flickers' every time I go to the next image -- as if it were pre-displaying some other image, or the image at a different location (centered, at the top...?) before showing the next image. that's a little distracting.
Quickfile

For those who love the basic feature and idea of Quickfile, but are frustrated by its slight flaws (see my earlier review, below), you may want to search for some of the other, perhaps newer plugins now available. Nostalgy seems to work very well, for instance.

This is a crucial add-on -- should be a built-in feature, really. It allows PINE lovers like myself to file email quickly.
It is, however missing one key UI feature: when I file an email, the focus moves to... some insane random place. This means I have to click with my MOUSE to select the next email which I then want to file. Since the whole point of this plugin is to file my 325 emails quickly, that's a very serious problem.
