why are you rating the addon 1 star. seems like you are complaining about Mozilla as this addon cannot be made compatible. This is not the addon developer's fault.

Huge help having this BCC add-on in Tbird. When will this be available for versions over 52.9? I am rolling back until it's updated because I rely on this daily!!

Outstanding, I hope he updates it to 60.0. I reverted to the old Thunderbird so I could continue to use his program.

Just installed this. I like that you can choose for each email you write if you want to change all the addresses to Bcc, CC or to.
Thanks for making something that is so useful and easy to use and fills a needed gap in Thunderbird functionality.

Yep, I did the big no-no and sent out a group email using "To:". In my followup ("BCC"ed) apology email, I resolved never to make that mistake again. This extension is exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks!

i have a good idear about new function,Do you delvelop it for me?

Works perfectly. Does the job it says it will and oh, has it saved me some situations already! Only took some minor tweaks of the user-settings to figure out how to let it allow CC mails to still be sent when you actually mean them to be. (IE, when sending an email to a group that needs to be able to reply-all to the same group!)
Thank You!

Thanks.
Nice add-on, which can save from the unpleasant situations.
But, I've found that it doesn't work together with "Secure Addressing" add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/secure-addressing
When it is enabled, the addresses are not changed to "Bcc" as they should.
Could it be possible to make them works together?
Thanks.
Thanks for your kind words. I am not familiar with the Secure Addressing addon but from an initial reading, I can see how the two might conflict. I would guess that things are similar to the conflict with the Send Later addon. I do not think it will be possible to make them work together. Sorry.

just loaded it.....works great on all new emails and forwards.
Thanks !!

I'm trying to find what appears to be the Holy Grail of forwarding for Thunderbird, the ability to automatically take any message landing in a specific Inbox from a specific verified sender and then redirect it as BCC to a list of recipients.
All the solutions I have found so far fail.
I thought Use Bcc Instead would be the solution to the defect in the built-in TB functionality, namely the 'Forward To' option within TB message filters, however, despite telling Use Bcc Anyway to always convert To: and Cc: to Bcc: in all outgoing messages, the mail forwarded by the message filter is still sent using a To: header.
Shame, I thought it would work.
[ review amended from 1 star to 5 stars after complaint by developer]
You complain about an addon NOT doing what you want even though it never claimed to do so. You yourself say it was your Holy Grail and that nothing else does what you want. Then you give a 1-star review to an addon that never was designed or intended to be what you want: a filter action. One can understand your disappointment. But not your lame and unwarranted 1-star rating.

This is great for an organization which uses Thunderbird and has to preserve privacy. It works exactly as it says it does, and the ability to customize settings is great.
The only problem we find is that when sending to a mailing list from Mac Contacts, the entire list is considered as one address and so regardless of the number of addresses in the list, the pop-up is not triggered to suggest using BCC. When using lists within the TB personal address book, the add-on behaves as expected.
One other thing - it would be nice to be able to remove the check box that says "When sending, convert all To and CC recipients to BCC" so it wasn't even an option. Unchecking the "enable change all recipients" in preferences doesn't seem to have this effect.
Hello and thanks. Please use the email link provided on this addon's page for support. Having ANY mailing list on an email sent as TO or CC should result in a warning unless auto-BCC is enabled. So please contact the developer as perhaps you have found a new bug. Thanks!
