Provider for Google Calendar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I really appreciate this add-on. It's essential to the way I run my business,

Following update to version Provider 3.3 / TB 52,* I can no longer communicate changes to the Google calendars, These events include dismiss an event, Change an event or add a new event . I downgrade to TB 45.8.0, Lightning 4.7.8 and Provider 3.1 and the problem was fixed.

Another challenge with Provider 3.3 is when setting up a new connection. I have two separate Google accounts, each with a number of calendars. During the connection dialog, the email addresses show up correctly, but the calendars shown can be for the wrong account. Regardless of the account chosen, the calendars are for the last account in the list.

For now, I've turned off automatic update.

Thanks for getting out release 1.5. I works fine with TB 15.0. I hacked 1.4 for TB 14, but was going to have to do it again until I found your update. This is one of my most useful and appreciated add-ons.

Also thanks ck55. I tried working without this add-on for a week, but really missed it.

Tofix67: I confirm the bug, but the delete key works to delete a single item.

Lightning

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I totally agree with DJM54. I depend on Lightning as part of my office productivity toolkit. I've lived with the Thunderbird Beta channel for some time, but each time an update breaks Lightning, I waste a great deal of time fixing the mess. I have to hunt for the list of version compatibilities (you'd think by now I'd have it bookmarked :)....). If I find it and I can locates the appropriate Lightning version, great. If not, like this time, I drop Thunderbird back a revision and get on the release channel

I really like the Lightning add-on but can't afford the time to keep fixing this issue. I won't be going back to the beta channel any time soon.

Simple, unobtrusive, full of features, .... Just what I look for in an add-on.
