A comprehensive and highly useful add-on if you use both Thunderbird and Joplin. Just remember to ensure Joplin Clipper is set up and working before configuring this add-on. For most use cases, this add-on is straightforward - can't beat that!

a great add-on - works flawlessly with the linux version of Joplin and dropbox. The set-up instructions could be a bit more up-front for us thickos though.

Very good add-on. It is a bit difficult to configure as it requires to enable the WebClipper on the Joplin side and copy the token and select one Notebook where the notes need to be saved. Once this is configured the notes export works flawlessly.

(Almost) perfect add-on :-) Thanks!! How can I add a date or datetime in the subject f.i. yymmdd or yymmdd hhmm, etc.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.2).Thanks for the feedback. Actually this was requested in the joplin forum too and is already available upstream (https://github.com/marph91/thunderbird-joplin-export/issues/11). I will try to submit a release this week. Until that it's only possible to refer the default date by using "{{date}}" in the note title setting.

Wonderful, been using Joplin for quite some time, and recently changed from Outlook to Thunderbird. I had been looking for something similar for Outlook without success. This addon alone makes the switch to Thunderbird already worth it (next to lots of other great stuff obviously :-))

Well done Marph. You've built a well crafted useful add-on.
If you have Thunderbird as your main email app and Joplin as your personal knowledgebase, make sure you install this add-on. It is pretty easy to install and configure. (You obviously have to connect it with Joplin so they can talk to each other.) And in Joplin, before you install this add-on, create a notebook that will act as an "INBOX" for your emails.
Once you have the "Joplin Export" add-on setup, you process emails in Thunderbird just like you did before, processing/deleting/filing the usual basic transient emails. When you come across any emails that impact a project or topic, simply click the [Joplin Export] button and those messages magically appear in Joplin, including attachments! What do you do next? Well... basically within the comfort of Joplin you integrate the content into your knowledgebase. Sweet!

Excellent extension!
No feedback in Thunderbird after Joplin Export is called, but it works flawlessly. Notes or to-dos are created in Joplin in the notebook, with tags added, as specified in your settings. ⭐
