My Reviews
Minimize On Start and Close
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I am using Windows 7 and yes, this add-on does better than the other minimize add-ons because it works more like Windows 7.
The big thing for me is that most programs with a minimize option allow clicking the X to minimize, as does this add-on. The other Thunderbird minimize icon disables the X - which is annoying because that's different from most other applications on Windows.
Show My Password
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Every time I change computers or reload, I don't think about being able to see my passwords, but it doesn't take long before I have stored passwords and want to see them.
So, even though I don't think about this plug-in as essential in the beginning, it's the only add-on that I consistently come back to because I can't get along without it.
In other words: this little gem is far more useful than you realize if you've never used it.
SpeedFox
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I installed speedfox to see what it might do to speed up browsing. The install went fine, but I see no options for speedfox and I have found no documentation about what it actually does or even if it has any options.
I'm interested in speedfox, but for the moment I am uninstalling it until I see information on the techniques it uses to speed up firefox, available options, and how to access them.
I am running Firefox 12 on a Windows 7 s-64 AMD machine if that makes any difference.
I gave SpeedFox a 4 because I didn't want to trash or praise this add-on without understanding more information.
CrawlerBar
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I am interested in what this add-on is supposed to do, but I see no way to use it.
I have uninstalled it because it prevents Firefox from exiting completely and when I restart Firefox, I get an empty button with a Firefox icon and no text in the Windows Task Bar. All context menu items are disabled (minimize, maximize, restore, etc.). Since the close menu item is also disabled, you cannot exit.

Launchy

Notes on "Fix for the oversize Launchy button in Fx3"
Not being familiar with Launchy or Stylish - but wanting to use Launchy - it took me a few moments to figure this out:
In David McRitchie's very helpful, "RE: Fix for the oversize Launchy button in Fx3," the "launchy.xml" file HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FIXING THE LAUNCHY ICON. You simply install Stylish and then the style in David's instructions.
Even though the launchy.xml file has nothing to do with fixing the launchy icon, tt turned out to be quite handy since I use HTML-Kit and the launch.xml file has the XML for HTML-Kit!
JSView
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I use this all the time! -- Certainly more than any other developer tool.
Saves the time of searching source for links to css, etc.
