So glad to see this back in action. THANK YOU Lukasz!
I just hope you don't get screwed with TB 128 about to land.
It is so refreshing to not be blinded by display names. I agree with other posters in not understanding why TB dev doesn't understand how this function is a critical security enhancement.

Thanks, really helpful.
It would be perfect if there was a way to indicate whether the sender's email address is safe, so when we receive other emails from that address we can be sure that it is not a fake.

I wish this would work off the address books. Thunderbird has made our emails more dangerous to phishing and hacking by not showing users trying to hijack usernames with different email addresses.
That would make it easy to identify false users.. The address book address is a known address, while anyone showing up with a full would be a suspect or lacking a username.
Such option is available natively in Thunderbird 128 (beta), in general settings, in "Message List" section.

Amazing work, dear author!
And a shame for Mozilla, who claim to fix scam and support privacy etc. etc. etc., that an add-on is necessary to help users to protect themselves from overwhelming masses of SPAM and scam.

I am SO happy that this GREAT add-on is available again.
Having such columns in the list view is extremely helpful to spot and weed out unwanted or maybe even fraudulent e-mails.
No need to open a questionable e-mail from the list view.
-----
That being said, I still need to look into the true implications of the add-on's requested "full access to the computer". as so far I have only briefly tested this new add-on iteration in a virtual machine.

Absolutely fantastic that this works again, so shortly after Thunderbird developers finally fixed the API. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for updating this add-on. Such a small feature, but so essential.

So I was using Thunderbird this fine Wednesday evening 5/8 and suddenly noticed that my "Sender (@)" column was once again showing up... THANK YOU Lukasz! I'm sure it must be disheartening for Add-On devs to be constantly banging their heads against the Mozilla rocks. But it's REALLY important to me to see the (supposed) SMTP sender of any email before even bothering to open it. Not sure why Mozilla's current Thunderbird dev team doesn't "get" this concept but I'm glad that you do. P.S. send us a Donate link and I will send you some money for beer and pizza...

Hello everyone, I am interested in Add-on: Full Address column
first of all I would like to thank the developers very much, it was perhaps my most important add-on ever!
Unfortunately, I still have not yet found a replacement tool for it;
Question: is this tool still being developed, that is
is an attempt being made to make it work?
If not, can someone suggest a replacement function that at least displays the actual sender's e-mail address?
Thank you very much.

I've used this add-on for years in place of the useless "Correspondents" column that only manages to make things easier for scammers.
I hope the fixes will land soon and the add-on will start working on TB 115+, as well, since I miss it sorely.

Hello,
I don't know why my previous comment has been removed !??
And my comment has been also copied to another addon whith another account ????
Anyway,
There are another addon wich normally add a column, but can't do it with new version 115 of TB ...
They have found a workaround in the waiting time ... ==> They change the display of an existent column.
==> Why couldn't you do the same ?
This addon is Xnote++
They add informations to the column "size"
=> May You use the existent column Sender and Recipient to add real email into it ?
Maybe you can let the user decide, which column (they do not need) to add the real sender and / or receipient.
Many thanks for your work

Once upon a time... an official bug was filed 20 YEARS ago...
Since then there were several patches, a complete fork w this feat from a former employee (Betterfox - TB but including patches like this), several rewrites of the codebase (that unfortunately until now still block such addons from working).
So, YES. I will give 5 stars just for still trying to implement a basal (& imho desperately needed) security feature!
thx for your work!

3/5/24 That bug has been closed and reads like it was fixed?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.4).Indeed. I have updated description to include link to another bug (https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D196693) which prevents this addon from working. Hopefully it will be fixed in upcoming days.

This is one of the best plugins for Thunderbird ever. Unfortunately it doesn't work in the current version of TB. Unfortunately, the updates also take a long time. It's unclear to me why TB doesn't include this plugin in TB by default. Hope updates come soon. Thanks to the creators of “Full Address Column”.

Thunderbird update some days ago.
Now I miss this addon sooo much, as it helped me detecting spam and phishing mails.
Why couldn't real sender adresses be shown by Thunderbird itself ? It's a real gain concerning security.

Like otheres already pointed out I need the feature of having columns that show the real email addresses of the senders as well as of the recepients. So since this addon and its predecessors enabled this feature I can only rate *****.
Nevertheless in order to make this feature reappear again complaining here is the wrong place.
May it either be done in the future by an addon or by a full hard coded implementation into a future version of Thunderbird I also support the idea to add the request under the official bug tracking sources like https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=243258#c32.

If you need that addon, tell Mozilla about that BUG at this URL:
