In a little more detail...
I adore Firefox. The browser is unrivaled in it's power and flexibility. It never ceases to amaze me which clever add-ons have been put together in the community to make browsing the web easier, more comfortable and funner.
For me, it is logical to join the community. How better to contribute than to take something awesome, and improve it?

Works fantastically in conjunction with Chrome to Phone.

Integrates nicely into the Web Developer Toolbar, but can be placed in any toolbar. Works as advertised!
ImageTweak: zoom/rotate images and videos!

I instantly loved ImageTweak. This should be the default behavior in Firefox (as it is in Opera), and the additional options make it even better. No bloat, just a a simple, effective and absolute must-have add-on.

Works brilliantly, but not on the current 3.6 beta. This is always the first add-on I install!

Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I'm giving this more than one star because it has potential.
Nevertheless, I'm afraid I have to reiterate what previous commenters have said: it appears in the UI but doesn't appear to actually use the selected SMTP server.
I'm using Thunderbird/2.0.0.19 (20081209) without any other add-ons installed.
Additional functionality that would be nice: selecting a default SMTP server based upon WAN IP, or making it switch to another if the first fails.
Double-six: I'm very interested to see your improved code -- and contribute to improving it further.

Needs a little fixing up here and there, but with a custom XML file, this is a definite must-have extension. I love it and plan to contribute to its development.
