My Reviews
Lightning Overload
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Nice animation indeed, but a bit too frequent in my opinion.
If it freezes, you don't have to install personas-shuffle or whatever. You only have to open about:config (type in "about:config" without the quotemarks in your address bar and hit enter), pass the warning and type "lightweight" in the provided searchbar. Among values shown, find and invert the values of both lightweightThemes.persisted.footerURL and lightweightThemes.persisted.headerURL to false, simply by double-clicking on them. Restart Firefox and now the animation should work without further tweaking.
Provider for Google Calendar
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This module works perfectly for me. When it doesn't, (nothing appearing in both Agenda and tasks from Google) there is a trick to do :
Close thunderbird
Go to your profile folder (usually it's there : C:\Users\YourUserFolder\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\YourThunderbirdProfile.default).
In that profile folder, open the folder named "calendar-data", delete everything in it (cache.sqlite something and deleted.sqlite) except the "backup" folder.
Close the open folders.
Restart Thunderbird and everything should be working fine.
Master Password+

I've been using this great add-on for quite a while now. Unfortunately, it prevents Adblock Plus (starting from version 2.2.3) to show both in tools menu and add-on bar, as well as Add-on Compatibility Reporter, only in add-on bar. I know I shouldn't be writing about bugs here, but I thought I had to inform people using Adblock Plus as well as MasterPassword+. They have to revert to Adblock Plus version 2.2.2 so that it still shows like it's expected.
Oh I forgot: everything works fine in Thunderbird using both add-ons.
Funambol Mozilla Sync Client
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Hello
The solution as proposed by baskak works indeed. Reported crashes can be worked around: on the first sync using funambol, you have to replace all present data (contacts, calendar events and tasks) with that from the server (recover command). Of course, consider to back up all these data before you proceed.
Beware that automatic sync and/or sync at startup can cause thunderbird to crash.
I successfully tested this solution both on Windows XP and 7.
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
