Very cool !

I find (after some research that should not have been required of me) that I have no use for this tool, but I'm giving it 5 stars based on the enthusiasm of people who can use it. bioFOX was featured on Firefox addons page today, but it was really hard to find out what it does; I had to go dig into developer's website to find out. Maybe "bioinformatics" is unambiguous to modern experimental biologists (I got my biology degree many years ago), but it did not convey much meaning to me.

I see that development of this add-on has stopped. I have some ideas to implement. If you are interested on handing the project or collabroate with someone that would be great. I can't fimnd a way to enter in contact with you but you should have my e-mail on my profile page. Please let me know, even if only to say that you are not interested. Thanks in advance

Functionality at its best: This tool is awesome, I've shown it to some fellow grad students that were just totally excited about analyzing sequences as easy as that. How much more do we have to wait to have the firefox 3 compatible version??? I'm reinstalling firefox 2 on the lab computers so to keep using biofox.

Hi Saleem, thanks for your handy add-on bioFox. It is a very convenient tool that I have used. BioFox 1.1.4 is fine, since I have switched to Firefox 3, could you release BioFox 1.1.5? Thx

The plugin bioFox offers bioinformatics tools (e.g. BLAST) and functions (Conversion between formats) for the firefox browser. This Add-on makes firefox to the favored browser for biology science.
