I've had gmail manager in one incarnation or another for years, often going to great lengths to find fixes when a version loses compatability with gmail (or firefox).

I find it to be one of the most useful firefox extensions around for it's simple ability to log into a few gmail accounts at the same time and display mail snippets from each.

But I have grown to HATE GMAIL over the past few years. It's like google are doing their best to cause hassle for their users. Almost every other time I use gmail manager to log in and check my mail it shows red envelopes instead of blue. I then have to jump through googles hoops to show that they are my email accounts... even tho I've disabled as much of gmails verification stuff as I can and have selected to "Never show an alert for unusual activity"

But still I get this ---> ("Something seems a bit different about the way you're trying to sign in") <--- AGGGHHH!!! In general I'm logging in from the same laptop, in the same house, often from the same damn room in the same damn house, with the same OS (Arch linux), using the same browser (PaleMoon), in the same way, with the same ISP and the same IP address. NOTHING is different about the way I logged in. SO WHAT THE HELL WAS DIFFERENT in the eyes of google/gmail???

Even worse is if my ISP changes my IP address, or God forbid, I use a proxy. Then even logging in directly (not just via gmail manager) I often get locked out of gmail altogether and have to change my passwords for no reason at all other than the fact that google are Royal Pains in my Nads!!

PS. I don't tend to use multiple PC's or any other devices to access my gmail & usually just check them when I'm home. No more than three other occasional sign-in locations at most, all in the same part of the country. So how can I continually get flagged as a suspicious sign-in!?!

I despair. Bah & Humbug :(
