Gmail Manager

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Todd's Gmail Manager worked fine for a long time and then the icon disappear from the toolbar, as well as from the array of icons when viewing "customize." Repeated attempts of uninstalling and reinstalling did not solve the problem--I was locked out! And so went to his site, which had an older version of the add-on. That too failed to show an icon. I now use Gmail Notifier which I used long, long ago and it has always been solid, getting you through the door. Shame, I get bonded to good add-ons. This happened with a previous upgrade of Firefox as well. So I have given it 3 stars--as a homage to its working status before, but its a fiver when functioning--i.e., if you can find an icon to initiate it....

Thunderbird Conversations

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Now and then an add-on comes along that changes the way we communicate via email. This one permits the simultaneous value of traditional email client folders with Gmail's "conversation" format. Together, they make Thunderbird a POWERHOUSE in my opinion. A wonderful, wonderful job, Jonathan! This is a superb idea that has been well executed. It has been particularly valuable for business conversations where references are made to previous communications--they are all right there to be viewed. This is one of a handful of exceptionally valuable add-ons on my list that I plan to support with a donation.

Gmail Manager

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Am using Firefox 3.5.7 and 0.6 of Gmail Manager. ACTUALLY, I SHOULD be saying I am NOT USING Gmail Manager because it suddenly ceased t function--the icon does not appear anywhere on my system despite multiple reinstallations, reboots. So what gives?? Sorry, love sometimes go to hate, its a pity to have a new version wind up to result in the unusability of a program. I wanted "Change I Could Believe In" but my faith got quashed.

tbNotes

I've only JUST installed this add-on and lend my voice to all those who have commented to you Ondrej. The concept is great and there is a HUGE need for message taking extensions. But really, how in the world could you release it with the most miniscule type size possible?? It almost defeats the very concept of what it is supposed to do, and it should be an easy thing to implement I would think. It makes no sense and puts a burden on the user that should be totally unnecessary.

External Application Buttons mod for Firefox 3.0+

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Simply superb and so necessary for so many of us. Many thanks for updating this more obscure but critical add-on that fills a very necessary niche for heavy duty FF users.

XNote

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Has great utility. As for a wishlist, it would be great to have an icon on the side for messages that had notes attached. Also perhaps color coding them (but not so super bright as the original XNote program which was glaring).
