Autocopy 78+

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks for updating this

AutoCopy_rebirth

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Doesn't seem to do anything (TB 60.6.1 on macOS 10.14.4)

EDIT: to be more precise, this add-on conflicts with the Display Mail User Agent extension for Thunderbird. When that is installed, Autocopy doesn't work.

Updating my rating to 3.

Expression Search / GMailUI

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Once you install this extension, you realize how much you missed it before. All the times you half-consciously thought "if only I could use multiple criteria or a regular expression here, I'd find that mail immediately"...

It is a pity that a Global search reverts to the 'old' way of searching, without regex and with very simple boolean logic. But you can't have everything.

EDIT - the developer fixed the issue mentioned below within a few days after I reported it. Well done, excellent support!
[There is one little glitch: if you put the Expression Search widget in the ToolBar, it is impossible to hide the Quick Filter Bar. Thunderbird simply doesn't allow it (in the menu: View... Toolbars... Quick Filter Bar). The empty bar keeps taking up space above the list of mails. (TB 31.5.0 on OS X 10.10.2)]

Unified Search

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Whereas browsers gravitate towards a single search-and-URL field, Thunderbird decided at some point to have two search fields. I can't understand that weird decision, but fortunately Unified Search exists, with the Unified Search Widget that provides both quick search (filtering in the current folder) and global search in the words database.

Great work! I'm giving it four stars because the current beta version 0.7.4 doesn't completely work in TB 31.3: some user interface elements are broken. Specifically:
- The funnel icon ("filter") in the Unified Search Widget becomes invisible when filtering is off. It took me a long time to discover it was still there and I could still click it to turn filtering on. (If you don't know that and filtering happens to be off, the Unified Search Widget becomes almost useless - hence davidu's remark in his/her review below that "Even 0.7.4 is not working with TB 31.1").
- The filter options in the horizontal bar below the Unified Search Widget don't change color when they're on or off. So you can't see whether you're filtering on sender, receiver, subject, body, or any combination of them. (To see it you must convert the bar to a menu, but the bar is much more convenient).

Thanks IagoSRL, and I hope you can iron out these minor problems.

Change

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good extension, converts numbers in web pages by means of the exchange rate between two pre-specified currencies.

What I would like to be added to the extension is automatic recognition of the original currency from the symbol ($, €, ₤ etc.) or abbreviation (USD, EUR, GBP etc.) in front of the amount. That would make it much more useful: you could quickly convert any monetary amount on a web page to your own currency.
