Encrypt and upload large files with to Retyc. Recipients with a Retyc account get E2E encryption; others access files using a passphrase.
About this Add-on
How it works
- Click Send as usual. If your email has attachments, the extension opens a confirmation dialog.
- Review the files and recipients, then click Upload & Send.
- Attachments are encrypted on your device and uploaded to Retyc. The original attachments are removed and a download link is added to the message body.
- The email is sent — recipients just click the link to download the files.
End-to-end encryption
- Recipients with a Retyc account receive files encrypted with their public key — only they can decrypt them.
- Recipients without an account access files via a passphrase you set (minimum 8 characters).
- Files are encrypted on your device before upload. Retyc cannot access your files or their names.
- Post-quantum hybrid keys, resistant to future quantum computing attacks.
