not working

Warning: I tried to uninstall/disable this add-on an it left my headers a mess. Bug reported.
EDIT: Just in case someone else faces the same problem, here's how I workaround to revert this (disclaimer untested but seems to work. At your own risk!):

* Uninstall the add-on
* Open the Config Editor: Edit > Preferences > General > Config Editor...
* Locate the mailnews.headers.extraExpandedHeaders parameter and enter an empty string
* Locate the extensions.maillistfilter.origExtraExpandedHeaders parameter and enter an empty string

It works! but sometimes has bumps!

I didn't get a Mailing Lists folder or any other UI. And I'm having strange l10n issues now - folders are renamed to English when I click on them.

Right-click on the "Mailing Lists" option in the folder tree. Click Properties and then click the "Choose" button to tell Mailing List Manager what folders to index. Worked great after I figured out how to set it up.

sounds great. It shows my lists, but no way to do anything with them! No prefs availiable to do anything WITH. So...

- "create filter" doesn't give any feedback
- shim@lists.whatever.com was filed into the same folder as im@lists.whatever.com

hmm
doesnt work for me as my mailinglist-folder isnt searched :(
even opening them by hand doesnt help...
I got a lot of mails so maybe that may cause the problem (20000+) but anyway it is still sad
Also it is shown just for one account and I have more than one account with different mailing lists...
it would be nice to have them all in one place

Very useful tool: A great means to nicely store all my Mozilla Mailing Lists...
I have sertup a free webmail account, defined another profile for TBird acepting messages from that account. I have all my Mozilla mailing lists directed to this mail account. Afterall a great succes, so I hope you keep it up and running (This Add-on)

On first run, the add-on indicated it would index my Inbox folders for mailing list. But I already had mailing lists in other folders. It seemed to pick them up after I opened the folders.

It did miss one of my mailing lists. Overall I like the idea, hopefully it can replace manual mailing list management for most people.

Two issues I found: It took over a pre-existing "Mailing Lists" folder in my Gmail IMAP account, and when disabled, the pref mailnews.headers.extraExpandedHeaders value causes list headers to always appear. Not sure if this is cleaned up on uninstall.

I also have problems with this add-on. When I first started Tb after installation, I got some notification panel that a mailing list was found, but this was only one list (and I am subscribed to quite a lot). I had the "Mailing Lists" folder, but after a restart of Tb, it is gone now. From time to time I get another notification that a mailing list was found, but I can see it nowhere.

I really like the idea of this. I think it could be expanded to include newsletter subscriptions. For example I receive the MailChimp newsletter, and Smashing Magazine newsletter. I'd like to be able to view and manage them in a similar way. Discovering the unsubscribe links etc might be harder though unless there is some standard for marking them (which there should be).

I can't figure out how this works. I've installed it (and tried disabling and re-enabling it), but I don't get the first run wizard thing in the screenshots, and there's no menu item to trigger anything. I don't have a "Mailing Lists" folder, or any obvious mechanism to say "this message is in a mailing list". There's no Preferences in the Addons manager, no help and no documentation. :-(
