Works really well, and doesn't depend on linking external images in your emails.

I once LOVED this add-on, but since TB 102 it's lost function AND is no longer providing VECTOR images as it had been. Now, once I insert an emoji the emoji window goes BLANK and is unusable for the remainder of that email! - I DO see other issues with TB 102 - I had to stop using Calendar because of repetitive notifications for PAST appointments, for example. So, the suggestion that it's a 102 issue is most certainly credible. I AM on TB for macOS Catalina. My hardware (early 2013 iMac) can't go beyond that release...
Maybe it’s a problem of Thunderbird since the issue is from the 102? I’ll try to investigate, but I haven’t changed the way to copy or show emojis

+ Works flawlessly
+ Opens on "recently used"
+ Open source (you're using Thunderbird...) and on GtiHub
+ Emoji are unicode with option to use system font ==> excellent cross-platform compatibility without increasing e-mail size
- Copies emoji to the clipboard instead of inserting directly, thus requiring an extra keystroke, BUT...
+ ...clipboard copy is actually really handy because Thunderbird is far from the only app with poor emoji support out-of-the-box 😄
+ Asks for NO PERMISSIONS AT ALL (might be _because_of_ clipboard copy)
TL;DR: what's not to like?!
I'm very happy to read this :D
