In a little more detail...
I'm still here doing this because the only alternative I can imagine is completely giving up on the Internet.
Add-ons I've created
Generic CSS Loader 2 Requires Restart
A very basic CSS loader for Firefox. No fancy features, just an alternative to userChrome and userContent files.
Console Chrome Filter Requires Restart
Adds a chrome:// filter button to the Console in SeaMonkey

Ever since the new update, typing multiple words divided by a space into the urlbar and pressing Enter or the Go button does nothing in SeaMonkey. This was useful for getting to sub levels of sites, like typing "yahoo mail" would take me directly to the Yahoo Mail login page.

Please consider adding support for SeaMonkey!

Very cool. I do have one suggestion though. If you could please change line 260 of extensions_override.css, (for .category) from "width: 4.5em;" to "min-width: 4.5em"? Hard-coding the width like this makes it inflexible to some modifications I'm doing. It would also be nice if your extension added an attribute or a class to #addons-page so that userstyles, themes, and extensions could actually support it. It's impossible to detect if it's on from CSS.
Edit: Thanks... I figured out a way around it: width:100%!important; ... this overrides the fixed width and uses the appropriate width for the content. Trying to get everything to work in my latest version of SeaFox, which has even more "classic" look. :)

I liked this extension very much when it came out but the latest update seems to have a serious bug: it sometimes fails to work. Just now I had it actually reset my settings to the defaults, after just using it not 2 hours ago!
On other occasions, it shows the correct settings under Options, but uses Google search. In those cases, Disabling and Enabling the extension gets it running again.
It would also be great to see this extension for SeaMonkey!

This version is listed here as 0.1.0 but shows up in the Addons Manager as 2.123. You guys might think about getting that matched up for the folks playing at home.
Re: Thanks... I must have installed it from there. The 0.2 versions are much improved over the original 0.1!
YesScript

I completely disagree with David, below... NoScript is not in any way easy to use, especially considering that it blocks more than scripts and setting it up as blacklist is complicated.
I have however run into a problem with YesScript. Running in 3.6 in Private Browsing mode, if I disable or even uninstall YesScript, the blacklist continues to function and block JS on those sites.

I love this extension, but in the new version the window is too narrow. Please make the window resizeable or back to it's old width!

Well, even with it only accepting top-level domains, it's still working great to disable the awful mess that is the new Google Image search. Please consider adding an option to remove the status-bar icon.

Why are you truncating the url? If I specify a url, I want to block that url, not the *entire domain*. Please fix this to allow blocking not just top-level domains!

ShareBird, you are an inspiration! We've been waiting a LONG time to be able to do this!

THANK YOU for reviving this add-on, and bringing some much needed additions and fixes! I have three requests:
1. Add alternative searches to Google Image Search. Yahoo and Bing are probably the main ones.
2. Block Google Sidebars. Although I think this feature is still under trial and today I am not seeing the new layouts in searches... so many it's not needed YET, but it's something to look out for in the future! If Google goes the way of Bing, God help us all!!
3. Force Google to use normal sized fonts. The kindergarten-sized fonts seem to appear randomly in search boxes, and the randomness makes it even more annoying.

It's working now without needing to restart... this is awesome!

Very helpful! It still needs some work, I'm hoping for a Restart button on the dialog and to see it appear in the Tools menu.

This is very exciting! I'm only giving it four stars because it still needs some work... as in the Revert and Try It buttons don't appear to do anything. I'd love to see a Restart button right on the dialog, and I'd love to see this one put right on the Tools menu. Great start!

I don't get why people are upset? I love the new auto feature! However, Alt-Tab is an OS level command and should not be used by any Firefox application. Anyway, I loved using this one in 3.0 and missed it and I'm glad it's back for 3.5 and upgraded!

Great tool... I love that it adds Menu Toolbar to the right-click options... at the very least that should become part of the standard FF options! It takes compact themes to the extreme!
