My Reviews
Thunderbird Weather
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
It doesn't seem to appear anywhere (using either standard Thunderbird or Betterbird).
And irrespective of version whether Thunderbird/Betterbird there's no guidance anywhere saying how it's meant to be used/where it appears etc. And as previous review noted, there aren't any options (within the app's web page). So nothing. Useless. I'd give it zero if that was an option.
FolderFlags
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
As with Demired in September this add on solved my version of that issue. In my case TB had decided to flag the inbox as as "templates". When I clicked on a message it opened in write mode, presumably because it had used the message as a template for a new one.
Hmm I just realised. This might also mean I can create an actual templates folder ( I don't have one) too. If so I'd give this 20 out of 10- because it does so much more than it was written for.
British English Dictionary (Marco Pinto)
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
A brilliant addition that TB needs ( if you write in English and not American). It just works so well. Only slight quibble is with 's. In its word list it seems to list every word in two versions, without and with the 's rather than just ignoring the 's ending. And sometimes these 's endings are dubious - certain words are never likely to need a possessive form and are so obscure that in the unlikely event that someone did need to write about, say "the muctate's appearance" they'd know- And words that normally end with s ( like plurals) should should be s' e.g the boys' houses.

This works brilliantly most of the time. BUT every so often it will randomly ( though I think it might possibly be when there's been an update rather than truly random) refuse to accept the account credentials. No only refusing to accept the current stored credentials, but refusing to accept the password when manually retyped in (endless attempts). The account has to be deleted and set-up again.
I'd hazard a guess that it's corrupting the stored password in some manner, but refusing to replace it.
MailHops

It doesn't tell users how to use it.
I couldn't make anything happen. There are lots of links to the developers' site, but no information as to how that fits in.
Useless without this basic information.
n.b. it's certainly not the only add-in for TB that requires guesswork or luck to be able to use them. Why can't devs say what to do with their precious code, rather than puffing the add-in's advantages without letting users know how to use them?!!
Report Spam
Rated 2 out of 5 stars
It's called "Report Spam" but talks about anti-spam errors? Which means what? What is an anti-spam error. It sounds more like complaining about some other addon, rather than being one that reports the Spam. And it apparently sends the spams to "Renater" but there's no clue what happens then, compared to say "Spamcop". What does "Renater" do with it? Does it pick up the headers? Is it actually doing anything useful?
