Session Manager

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have now sampled FOUR different addons that are being sold as being some sort of session manager.
They ain't.
Most don't even have essential features, like being able to handle separate windows when saving/restoring a session, or the ability to append a session to the selected window. Instead, I get to load everything, in a new window, or nothing.
Please, please, please.
PLEASE.
Update this for FF57, or FF Quantum, or whatever the Masters of the Mozillaverse are calling it this week. PLEASE!!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.1.13).

This addon is indispensable. PLEASE update it for Quantum, or 57, or whatever they're calling it, PLEASE!!

Toolbar Buttons

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

We need this back. Badly.
If the "one button per mod" rule is what is holding this up.
Is it maybe possible to turn this into an addon that can be installed with multiple instances, and just let's the user pick an icon and a command they'd like executed?
Let everybody make their own toolbar buttons?
This just popped into my head while I was pondering how badly I miss being able to close a tab from a button I had right under the address bar, instead of having to find the (far too small) 'x' on the tab, opening a context menu, or reaching for the keyboard to do the shortcut.

EDIT: Yah, separate addons for separate buttons make more sense. I had been so used to the old mod, I hadn't even thought to check what I could find as separate buttons. Turns out, a few already exist, so I got my beloved "close tab" button back already.

Toolbar Buttons

When I found this addon, FF became almost a new browser entirely. Just the right-clicks it saved me by just giving me buttons to close tabs to left or right, just that time saved probably adds up to a full day by now.
I love this one dearly, and I miss it terribly, PLEASE bring it to the current FF version!

Dictionary Switcher

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I installed this in the hope that, finally, I wouldn't have to navigate two context menus to change between english and german dictionaries.
This addon, however, only adds buttons. One that gives the abbreviated name of the active dictionary, the other with a drop-down men.
If I click the one that lists the dictionary name, the name that is listed changes. Yay.
The active dictionary, meanwhile, does not change. Nay.
The other, with the drop down, won't list anything other than "English/United States". Even though I have three dictionaries installed. Re-installing one of the German dictionaries and repeatedly restarting Firefox did not change anything, at all.
This addon was a frustrating waste of time.

Dictionary Switcher

I installed this, tried it out.
Uninstalled it, reinstalled.
Multiple Firefox restarts between either.
I use it to switch the dictionary setting. It shows it has switched to another dictionary.
But spellcheck does not come along and sticks to the previous setting. I must still work my way through the context menu to switch dictionaries.
So far, all this has done for me is display a dictionary choice in my tool bar that bears at best incidental resemblance to the dictionary that the spellcheck will refer to.
