https://addons.thunderbird.net/de/thunderbird/addon/nostalgy_ng does a better job and works for new TB versions too. The only thing a would liek to have there, is to mark/unmark read status while making a copy. But i can do this with too shotcuts too.

I also have deferred update to TB60, because I don't want to lose the features offered by this add-on.
I use Quicker Filer every day, and it's great:
1. Hit your keyboard shortcut.
2. Type in some (partial) words to find your folder
3. Press enter to file and... Boom! Done!
I did try the Quick Folder Move, but it lacks the search capabilities of multiple words (regardless of order in which they are input). For instance, with Quicker Filer I can search for a folder like 'GMail Server/Projects/123456-Customer-DoorRepair' by just entering 'proj door', and it would narrow down all possible folders/subfolders that match those (partial) words. Very quick way to file emails!
All other tools I've tried so far, allow only one-word matching, or you have to do the search in several steps, which I thing defies the purpose of "quick" filing.
Would love to see if Eivind Rovik comes up with a new version compatible with newer versions of Thunderbird.

Has anybody tried Quick Folder Move instead of quicker filer?

Eivind Rovik is looking for solutions. Thanks a lot !
But the incompatibility of this great add on with TB60 will have to wait for TB's next version to be solved.
In the meantime, you indeed have to downgrade TB if you want to keep on using Quicker Filer.

I have deferred update to TB 60.x.x in anticipation of an update to the awesome Quicker Filer. Two questions: (1) Is there an expectation of such an update? (2) If not, are there any workarounds (short of using the mouse)? Thanks!

Haven't seen the updated version yet...
Any chance for an update?
Kind regards

Thank you so much for updating this.
I have TB 60.3.3 (32-bit), released Dec 5th. I cannot save Quicker Filer options (the popup is transparent and does not seem to have any "Save" option).
Maybe this version is not the one you expected to operate with QF. A fresh download of the add-on still says that it is not compatible.

I work with a lot of folders, not just in my Inbox but also in shared company folders (internally-hosted Cyrus email). This Add-on is a god-send! I too miss it in Firefox 60.

Really great PlugIn, most productive one I've ever seen (might depend on the number of folders and subfolders you are maintaining). Don't know if something like this even exists in the Outlook universum.
The author is already planning an update! Hope he will be successful soon...

Any plans on fixing the plugin to work with Thunderbird 60+? Really miss this one.

Great Add-on! Glad to have found it. Adapted the install.rdf max. Version to *.* and it works fine.
This Add-on is a must-have for the efficient professional use of Thunderbird. Quick Filer should be implemented in TB as core function.
Unfortunately it is very hard to find this Add-on. Maybe the name Quick Filer should be changed into "Quick File Mover" or so. So maybe many more users could find it.

I have upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04 AMD 64 and I find that I can not choose all the text in the defaulting directory location. In the past I would type Ctrl A and the whole line would be highlighted. I could then delete the line and search for the correct destination. Ctrl A no longer works for me, and I have to use the delete key to slowly delete the whole line. Any ideas as to what to change?

Absolutely fantastic add-on! I have been using it for years and it is really helpful. Unfortunately, there is a problem with TB 31.3 version: when I type the first letters of a folder and a list of folders appear, if I press enter it does not move the message to the first folder of the list (as it happened before), but it asks to create a new folder. It works only if I explicitly select the desired folder. Please fix this bug, if possible.

Per the last review comment, this addon is not working correctly in the V31.x of Thunderbird. Had to roll back to an older version of Thunderbird. It is a terrific addon, please fix the issues with TB

There are problems with Thunderbird 31.2.0. Folders are located but the messages are not moved in the folder with a "should I create folder?" message. Furthermore, the select folder operation does not navigate TB to the selected folder anymore.

The latest version of thunderbird 31.0 seems to have broken this add on. The popup comes up okay, but when you click on the various options, they are not copied to the text window like they use to be.
Hope this can be addressed soon for this indispensible Add On
