I used a similar option about 15 years ago when I was running IE6 and really missed it when I switched to Firefox.
This Open RegEdit Key is a dream come true, it's running very smoothly and in an instant, well written.
Much appreciated.

Finally a version that works with e10s. Does what it is supposed to do and does indeed use 64 bit RegEdit. Nice job.

This does nothing but just opens up registry editor, either the root of it, or the completely wrong key, a hightlighted key as simple as this HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams, or even using HKCU.

Replaces the add-on Open in RegEdit which won't install anymore. Extremely useful. Thank you!

Works great, very convenient.
A nice tool for Windows developers and tinkerers.
[Off-topic: Would be really sweet if this were also available in the Context Search add-on. The concept is extremely similar: highlight a string and right-click for context menu to choose the "target" search engine for the highlighted string. In this case, the target would actually be the Windows RegEdit.exe command, not a real web search engine.]

thx for your work, but i have 2 problems.
if i'll open hkcu\software, hklm\software or hkcr\* only the main Keys are open, well your Addon open only hkcu, hklm or hkcr.
If no valid Regkey is selected the old Version opens a Inputbox. Can you also open a inputbox ???
Edit:
can You plz convert the main Regkeys (HKCR, HKCU, HKLM, HKU, HKCC) to uppercase ??? This
HKLM\Software
can i open and this not
hklm\Software
can You plz add the link to this page into Your install.rdf with the em:homepageurl Tag.
All these have been fixed in 0.2.0. Please update the rating if your problems have gone away.
