Thanks for new changes,
you asked me in you're last reply to test arabic language with addon disabled, my friend I'm a very old FF user it's never been a problem to search with other languages with me.
in order to help you i made a little experiment.
you mentioned that this addon installs duckduckgo to search bar. when i try to use it with arabic words it fails and displays ??? symbols.
so i installed duckduckgo in search bar using a nice Addon called "add to search bar". link: http://mzl.la/17MpSQG
and it works great.
i don't know if it's characters encoding problem (like using utf-8 parameters ).
but what's sure is that you're missing something.
Great thanks again.
What about when you install DuckDuckGo from their website? To do this, remove DuckDuckGo and go to duckduckgo.com and display the search menu.

My friend I tried an arabic word..
google and duckduckgo gave me ???? symbols.
twitter and yahoo and bing worked fine.
We're using the same search mechanism as Firefox. Can you try disabling the add-on and putting the Arabic word into Google?
What version of Firefox are you using? Thanks.

Thanks developer.
A great Addon to get over Mozilla's awful "" New "" search bar feature.
I have 2 questions then, the addon would be a 5 star perfection!
-is feeling lucky radio button brings the old firefox "Browse by name" google search, or it's just as it said (i'm feeling lucky google search).
here's a link with a short discussion about it: http://mzl.la/1blAvxZ
-I'm having troubles searching in some languages (Arabic in my case). I think character encoding which is being sent as address needs to be revised.
finally all users u may wish to have a look at some alternatives, BTW "keyword search" looks more professional.

So for I'm feeling lucky, I'm adding the parameter btnI=1 which is what happens when you click on the "I'm feeling lucky" button. It looks like browser by name uses the parameter "gfns" I'm checking to see how close the are.
As far as the encoding goes, I'm using the same mechanism as the Firefox support, so I'm surprised this isn't working. What search engine? Thanks.
