Strength:
• Open source. If you are not familiar with "open source", it means this app is more secure. Because its code is publicly available for review and contributions on GitHub at https://github.com/JustOff/cookies-exterminator
• Attractive GNU General Public License version 3. This means the software code of this add-on app is owned and supported by a friendly not-for-profit community. Instead of a for-profit corporation. And more secure because its full code is publicly available for review.
• Easy to use. Using the button in the browser toolbar.
• Whitelist cookies. Very easy. Two clicks to whitelist a website.
• Frequent add-on updates
• “Active mode” allow you to optionally automatically delete cookies after a set delay
• Export or import all or only selected cookies
• Backup or restore the add-on configuration
• Edit cookies
• Well documented
• Works with Firefox 52 or more recent
• Many many more features
Challenge:
• When "Active move" is disabled, the toolbar icon design color is small and hard to see on large screens. It is a tiny dot inside a circle. It does work :) But it is just hard to see :( I contributed a suggestion with this ticket at https://github.com/JustOff/cookies-exterminator/issues/8
• The add-on preferences can not be open from the toolbar icon. I suggest to add this feature. Meanwhile the preferences are accessible at about:addons
• The handy “Active mode” allow you to optionally automatically delete cookies after a set delay. But the delay range from 1 second to 10 minutes. It would be useful to be able to set a longer. I suggest an unlimited delay?
• Not compatible with Firefox 57+. Due to challenges not yet resolved with Mozilla does not yet provide all the necessary APIs that could allow to migrate this add-on to WebExtensions.
Using:
• Add-on 2.9.2
• Firefox 52.8.0 (64-bit)
• Debian 8 Jessie 64-bit
• GNOME 3.14.1
Thanks for your feedback. Let's use GitHub issues to discuss the details.

Thanks for developing this addon as SDC is sadly no longer being developed. Would it be possible to implement the option to just click on the addon's icon to set the mode? so for example: 1st click on icon, the site is whitelisted and the icon turns green. 2nd click on icon: Keep until browser exit is set and icon turns brown. 3rd click: Clean as soon as possible and icon turns red. Or only have the first option enabled that way (whitelist). The menu could then still be used using a right click on the icon.

There should be a 2nd timer for _visited_ sites.
Say I visit www.inter.net and get cookies from singleklick.net, inter.net and some more.
Now if I get redirected from www.inter.net to pay.3rdpartybank.net, I'd love to see cookies beeing deleted after 10 seconds which came from singleklick.net, but the ones which came from inter.net shouldn't be deleted before a much longer timeout lapses - say 10 minutes. So I can safely pay and return within 10 minutes without having to remember to switch to grey!
Of course the "timer for recently visited sites" should be user customizable with a sane default :-)
Thanks, -Garry

Сделайте поддержку многопроцессности. На данный момент ваше расширения не своместимо с многопроцессностью (Electrolysis)
UPDATE.

Any idea when/if this add-on ever will be e10-compatible please ?
EDIT : Thanks a lot for that insightful answer !
Actually this addon is 100% compatible with e10s, but Firefox devs have broken dom-storage2-changed notifications in e10s mode and refuse to fix it - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1130859
Thus when e10s will be forced on, it will be impossible to monitor local storage neither by this extension nor by Self Destructing Cookies nor by any.

Works great in SeaMonkey 2.46! Exportation of whitelist/blacklist proved useful when I had to refresh my profile.

Но хотелось бы иметь возможность составлять отдельные списки для каждого контейнера вкладок, включая добавленные пользователем.

This add-on is certainly an improvement over Self-Destructing Cookies in most ways; the fact I can import and export the lists is lovely (and not being able to do so was one of my peeves with SDC).
The only thing missing? A version for Firefox Mobile ;)
SDC Mobile has too many options stuck in the hamburger menu (three -- suspend, undo and whitelist), which clutters things - especially if you have *other* addons that add menu entries there (more addons should use the toolbar icons or at least give the option). It also lacks the option to manually edit the whitelist (which is *very* annoying on fresh installs), and shares the flaw from the original in that you can't import or export your settings.
Hopefully you'll take this into consideration; but it deserves 5 stars anyway.

Easy to use and safe to run. Would it be possible to provide some insight about the progress on E10s support?.
Thanks for the add-on.

Great replacement for SDC. Hope a Web Extensions version is in the future if it's possible.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7.7).Thank you! It's not replacement, but alternative.
As for the Web Extensions, let's first survive the e10s)
