When will there be another update for compatibility with SeaMonkey 2.10.1? Do it I send you ten dollars and I ask other users to send ten dollars or as much as possible. This the most beautiful and elfin theme.

I was using Seazilla 2.4, and just tried Classic Default as a test. Lightning buttons are missing for creating/editing events, Composer print button is skewed (Seazilla has its own problem with the Composer toolbar), to name a couple issues. Still, the artwork is excellent, and the feel is there. Unfortunately, I am unable (as of 2012-03-20) to reach the author's homepage.

Unfortunately the print button is corrupted when using Seamonkey Mail in version 2.7.1

Thanks so much for updating this theme! It looks so much better than the one that comes with SeaMonkey these days (icons so tiny I can't tell what they are).
Only thing I can't figure is why the menu bars' background color doesn't match the rest (scrollbars, other blank areas of chrome).

This inspired me to give my own try at restoring the classic theme. Seazilla brings the same classic theme to seamonkey 2.0 but is a little more complete for now, I still have work to do. The update for 2.4.x is pending review right now.

Any chance this will be upgraded for SeaMonkey 2.2 users? I miss this classic theme!!!

This theme is very badly broken on SeaMonkey 2.0.12 (Windows 7/XP)
Here's a screengrab of the breakage, I've uploaded to my flickr account.

Testing in SeaMonkey 2.0.11 on GNOME desktop running on Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS, the text in the main menu toolbar disappears when the mouse cursor passes over each item, instead of showing a mouseover version of the item. The mouseover views may be missing or corrupt in the theme file. The Home Page button is missing the "Home" text, even though I have "Pictures and text" selected in the preferences. It's a good start, though, and I hope the uploader continues and completes this theme, as the SeaMonkey 1.x default theme is vastly better than the two themes that come integrated with SeaMonkey 2.x.

The parts that work look great. I think the problem with the Home icon is that it is set too small. It shows correctly with icons and text, but is smaller than the other icons.

Bravo ! Pour l'instant pas de bogues constatés.

All menu/toolbars have a fixed beige background, otherwise the rest seems fine and I appreciate the old Netscape/Mozilla icons as they have much better color contrast.

And the "SeaMonkey Help" has been shown badly (empty icon).

The tactile sensation of the Toolbar button is not the original Mozilla 1.x one, and the "Main Page" should touch like a link, rather than a button.

The first theme (add-on) I looked for after upgrading to Seamonkey 2.0.x was this, and I was so happy to find it. It does exactly what it's supposed to. Thanks ateshyurdakul !

Easily spotting the "Junk Mail" with the blue icon in the Mail Inbox was a key for getting this. The new theme made it extremely hard to spot.

What would be wonderful is if you could also include the old Task Bar icon buttons - such as Mails/News Groups/Address Book/Composer - but most important, the ones that show a Browser Window and Downloading/downloaded files differently - as the present new theme given by the Seamonkey team has made them both look EXACTLY the same and this is extremely confusing to keep track of.

Great Work.

The old colour scheme provided by the "Classical Default" theme restores the visual contrast of a couple of elements like folder structures in mail, bookmarks and other elements making it easier to distinguish them from the background.

People used to the old classical look will regain the speed in navigating through Seamonkey because it restore the old "look and feel".

This is a really awesome theme, thanks a billion!

There is one bug with the theme though, not including the home button you mentioned. The theme when using Windows 7 on old classic theme, does not honor system colors. For example if I make windows appear the old fashion grey (window faces, etc) and not "tanned" color like windows 2000 and ME, the search button is the only thing that honors the color, yet the theme remains tanned like 2000 and ME.

The theme looks great except the "Home" button is only about 1/4 as wide as the rest of the buttons on the toolbar.

Very nice! Golden oldies live! Cherry on top would be a Netscape type SM throbber with the sunrise-sunset and meteors and such!

Great job!

@Nomaxxx As I understand the change in theme from KaiRo and Ratty (Phil Chee) The change was to provide a new clean default theme and to get away from its visually dated netscape roots. I however do not agree with this. But Then again I havn't yet managed to submit any reason for them to listen to me... Not to mention the issues with migrating to the new theme format such as the little glitches here and lack of toolkit icons... Tho those have been done well in this case... However my personal recommendation at the time would have been. Ok, new default theme... cool.. but like Mozilla Modern was ported port the netscape theme too... But It did not happen this way and official netscape classic theme will most likly never be included with seamonkey so this theme is our only alternative...

I do have one request... Kill the native toobar background. Netscape theme looks bad on windows 7 with the native toolbar background... Force it to the gray color and include an override in the throbber and ship us with a netscape throbber such as the NS6 or even NS4 throbber...

Throbbers:
http://personal.mattatobin.com/?b=files/chrome-notgoogle/throbbers

If you want to override your throbbers refer to documentation about userChrome.css just create a throbbers directory in your chrome folder inside your profile folder and use the following code as a base

#navigator-throbber {
list-style-image: url("throbbers/ns4/ns4-single.gif") !important;

}

#navigator-throbber[busy="true"] {
list-style-image: url("throbbers/ns4/ns4-anim.gif") !important;
opacity: 1.0 !important;
}

:)

PS: Thanks for the Netscape Classic theme ateshyurdakul
