In a little more detail...
I have been using Firefox while constantly trying to use other browsers, and I still believe that Firefox has its fantastic potential for the future. Google Chrome is totally fine. RockMelt is sort of OK. However, what motivates me to use Firefox is that the numbers of add-ons which do not exist for either of Chrome (or Rock Melt)... at all.
My only concern is however that how each add-on developers flexibly change those interfaces of add-ons like ones for Google Chrome. I, as a user, always wonder what extent those existing add-ons have potential to be renewed for their future version; in the other words, do those developers of Firefox Add-ons keep their motivation to change their add-ons into something that looks "the most current," like the ones for Chrome?
My Reviews
Write Area
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I have used Write Area to edit my blog posts, and it has been working for me pretty well. Although there are several Firefox Add-ons compatible with WYSIWYG editor, I like this add-on the most.
However, the latest version only has a choice to open up the editing window by replacing it with an original posting textarea, which sometimes causes to broke the entire design around the textare and it is hard to edit.
For example, I'm using tumblr. and their official bookmarklet "share on Tubmlr" and its textarea in a posting page ( http://www.tumblr.com/share ) got broken when I enable WriteArea. I hope that future version would have an option to choose between pop-up the Write Area editor -- like the older versions -- and replacing the editor.
Compact Menu 2
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.7.2-2).To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
