I've had this installed for a while, with no sign of the unread count appearing in the taskbar.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1).

Brilliant tool. Use it on all my machines.
Pity the developer's mail bounces. Looks like we will need manually upgrade the addon ourselves.
