British English Dictionary

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

A dictionary, even if it is an add-on, I take it to be a comprehensive list of daily words for every occasion. The word "movie" can be found on approved dictionaries such as Collins or Oxford. And it's not on the "British English Dictionary" ... so, in the end, does Oxford have the authority of words included in the English language or do "British English Dictionary"?

p.s. What people say don't rely on the dictionary - it's the opposite - the dictionary change by what people say. So as long as people utter the word "movie", it should be added in the dictionary.

Okay this had gone too far, alright some modern words aren't in the dictionary, but "movie"??! Oh come on, you got to be kidding me! Compared to the US English dictionary this is a early 20th century book written by pompous lords who see all modern words unfit for the the English language. An outdated dictionary by far, sorry.

It does what a dictionary does, no problem on that, but modern words included in the dictionary is a bit short, isn't it?

Even words like "screenshot", "MMORPG" aren't in the dictionary. I have to spend half the day just to add words as acceptable to the dictionary. This is the 21st century, people don't say "Jolly marvellous, my good humble chap!" any more. PCs are racing faster than human brains, but half the technical words aren't in the dictionary, can there be something be done about it? Other than that, one of the best add-ons I ever installed on Firefox, good gracious, what a jolly brilliant item you have created my good man!
