The plugin works great! But you cannot adjust when the layout switches. It would be great to have an option to make it switch earlier/later regarding to size.

Funziona perfettamente su Windows (7 nel mio caso) ma non su Ubuntu (18.04) installato nello stesso PC.

Why stick to a small screen layout while having a big screen? Thunderbird should include several layouts to choose from. Till then, use this.

It's adds core functionality to Linux Thunderbird - "Widescreen Layout". Very helpful addon. Thank you developer!

This is the simplest addon I've ever seen, but still very useful. It does only one thing in the most clear and straightforward way. I wanted to write my own addon for exactly this purpose, but found this one as a first search result. I think I will have to think out another idea for practicing addon writing. :(

Just did what it said: As I expand the width of the Thunderbird window, it automatically switches from "wide" view (with the message pane below the inbox) to "vertical" view (with the message pane to the right of the inbox, occupying the full height), and vice-versa.

Only one configuration parameter: "Threshold", being the width (in pixels) at which the layout will switch to vertical mode. The default value of 1300 seems right to me.

My ideal plug-in: A single purpose, minimal configuration, does what it says. Please don't add anything else!
