Dear Lab5,
Following my previous message, I just went back to your website and donated US$50.00.
Worth every penny - I just cannot work with TB efficiently without Colored Folders.

Thanks a bunch, Dave <3

Dear Lab5,
Bless you! Just downloaded from your site - installed and wonderfully it automatically, re-colored all my folders the same colors before the v68 update.
Thanks so much for your help and please let me know when it is officially approved by Mozilla and I will make an appropriate donation.
Froma a grateful user,
Dave

Dear Lab5,
Thanks so much for your initiative in working on the resurrection of the Colored Folder add-on.
I am so desperate for this feature that its sudden disappearance when I had to upgrade to v68 has caused us annoying disruption in our office workflow.
I have tried going back to the earlier version (60?) without success.
This is one add-on I would gladly pay for (perhaps a donation of $50).
Do you a timeline for the release of Colored Folders compatible with the current v68?
I'm not a coder or programmer but is there anything I can do to encourage its quick implementation?

It IS updated and uploaded here, but there's an approval process in play here too - on the side of the Thunderbird team - before it will be live and available here.

Meanwhile however you can already download the working version manually from my website :

Enjoy!

I loved this add-on, The color coded folders were a huge productivity boost when working with my many email business folders, but now my work is taking much longer.

I would gladly pay $50 to have this feature available again.

Folder color coding should in fact be a basic function of TB, instead of requiring an add-on. Dave

"Folder color coding should in fact be a basic function of TB, instead of requiring an add-on."

I see what you mean, but actually it's better to keep the core of the software and additional / optional features separated.
That makes the software more robust and flexible.

But i definitely agree with you that this feature is so extremely usefull that one would want to call it essential. Well, that's why i resurrected that Add-on in the first place - because i really really wanted this feature and yes, I use it every day - wouldn't want to miss it.
