This addon is welcome, but it doesn't work on attachments (not inline images). There was a prior image re-sizer addon that prompted for re-sizing when large images were attached (or offered on attachment submenu). Really miss this functionality!

Thank you very much for your rating and feedback! Unfortunately when it comes to file handling and attachments, the new AddOn possibilities with the changed manifest is very limited and restricted (for security reasons). I guess that's the reason why a lot of AddOns like the one you mentioned are no longer available in newer versions of Thunderbird or provide a lot less functionality. With the inline images you could at least work in the context of the edit-window, which is allowed, but accessing files on your computer (attached ones) or even changing them ... no chance as far as I see. (If I'm not mistaken you can't even run any scripting at all within the attachment container anymore, just changing the design with a theme). But I'm keeping an eye on this!
