Über dieses Add-on
Vacation Responder sends an automatic "out of office" reply to incoming email, while Thunderbird is running.
Features
- Custom subject and message text
- Multiple accounts — choose which accounts' inbox to auto-reply for
- Date window (start/end date) — auto-starts and auto-stops on the end date
- Proper reply (In-Reply-To/References) so it is less likely to be flagged as spam; the reply is also saved to your Sent folder
- Loop protection — skips automated senders (mailer-daemon, no-reply, mailing lists, Auto-Submitted), skips its own subject echo, and limits replies per sender (anti ping-pong)
- Per-sender interval (hours; 0 = reply to every mail)
- 9 interface languages; UI and default template follow Thunderbird's language
Important: like every client-side responder, it only sends replies while Thunderbird is running on your computer.
How to use
After installing, the settings page opens automatically. Tick "Enabled", select your account(s), edit the text, optionally set a date window, and Save. You can reopen the settings any time from the toolbar button.
Privacy
The add-on collects and transmits no data. The only network action is the auto-reply sent via your own outgoing mail server. All settings are stored locally.
