In my particular environment (XP) it didn't work. Once installed, my entire Thunderbird slowed to a crawl, taking 15 minutes just to start (on a dual core machine with 2 GB memory). I couldn't find an answer. While looking, I found this announcement by the author back in April that it had known bugs but he neither used it any more, nor was he going to work on it.
