come on people, look a little bit before complaining. Smartlinks can be disabled. First, it asks you during install if you want to enable the feature or not. Then, even if you selected to enable it you can still disable them afterward: Look at your Firefox menu under Tools --> Smartlinks. Took me less than 10 seconds to find it.
