Però vorrei suggerire una piccola modifica, sarebbe utile poter ragruppare le immagini dello stesso tipo, anche dopo averle inserite... cosa che adesso non si può fare.

How about putting the shortcut key on the options screen as a reminder. Putting it near the bottom of the options tab would be a useful place for it. ;) I keep forgetting the keys and keep having to search for them.Otherwise it's an excellent extension.
Information to BlueBerry938:
It does work like the pictures suggest. You can even watch a video to see how it works. Click the toolbar icon and the available emoticons will show in a sidebar where you can double click them to insert into the text area.
Or type the assigned shortcut into the text area and press the convert key (Ctrl+Shift+F) to replace the shortcut with the image.
It works perfectly and it's an excellent extension.

This is a very nice addons for firefox 3.X. But many of firefox 4 want it too. Please update it for us. Thank you!

This is just what I was looking for, and the side-pane preview is a nice extra.
If you're looking for any additional features to add, it might be nice to be able to have alt text for the smilies.

The new version is good, but after updating and restart - all my toolbar settings went to hell )
Still the quick switch between bbcode & html is needed
