I use this all through the day every day, extremely useful. Should be a part of the core program in my opinion.

One thing I would love to see added would be having formatting options for the text (color, italics, etc).

I would also love it if they brought back being able to drag/drop to rearrange the order of the clippings easily.

You can rearrange clippings in the Clippings Manager tree list using drag 'n drop in current versions of Clippings for Thunderbird, either version 6.2 (for Thunderbird 91 and 102) or 6.3 (for Thunderbird 115).

It works very well, but I ended up removing it from Thunderbird as it requires full unrestricted access and, over time, I've become more nervous about using tools that require that level of access.

Been using this add-on for years. Saves many hours of my time and streamlines the process of sending commonly used paragraphs and sentences to my user-base. Very simple to use but provides great functions - use it every day.

This unfortunately will not function with TB Version 102. Will it be updated or do I need to go back to TB Version 91?

De: Das Add-on ist leider nur bedingt empfehlenswert! Die gespeicherten Textbausteine können in linuxoiden OS wie zB. Ubuntu zwischen FF & TB nur via Export-/Import-Funktion getauscht, aber nicht synchronisiert werden. Die zum synchronisieren benötigte Sync Clippings Helper App gibt es nur für Windows.

En: The add-on is unfortunately only conditionally recommendable! The saved text modules can be exchanged in linuxoid OS such as Ubuntu between FF & TB only via export / import function, but not synchronized. The Sync Clippings Helper App needed for synchronization is only available for Windows.

Clippings makes a good impression.
However, I miss especially as preset placeholder the first name and last name of the recipient and others.
Quicktext unfortunately offers much more.
Therefore I will stay with Quicktext for the time being.
Nevertheless, many thanks!

We had been very sad as the "old" Clippings Addon didnt work with the latest TB versions.

After the update to TB 91.x we realized it works again.

Its perfect for email templates and companies.
You can store the template folder on a server / NAS and as soon as one user updates / adds a clipping all other users can use it.

In my opinion the best text template syste, for TB due this network solution and easy handling.

We love it. :)
