Ch. Askeland and M. Schulz created this regex-searchable database in 2010 with the assistance of T. Griffitts. The data has been corrected and expanded by the Göttingen Coptic Old Testament team. The Göttingen team now manages the database.

The digital transcription was adapted from various other electronic versions. This database is a tool to identify Sahidic Coptic biblical fragments, especially those of the dispersed White Monastery library. In some cases, the St Shenouda Coptic CD transcriptions were converted, but in all cases the text has been corrected and some are newly digitized (e.g., Psalms [M.Schulz], John[H.Förster etal.], Acts [Siegfried Richter], Revelation [Chr.Askeland]). No doubt there are still errors. The database currently reflects the testimony of the following manuscripts or scholarly editions, with various emendations:
BL Or 5000 (Ps), M569 (Mat), PPalau Ribes 181–183 (Mk, Lk, John), BL Or 7594 (Acts), Ch.Beat. Coptic A (Paul.Ep.), M572 (Cath.Epist.), BL Or 6803 (Rev)
