This is a great idea and I like it a lot. I want to use it. Unfortunately it is unusable in its present form and I have been forced to disable it. Thunderbird 24.4.0 does not have a "use small icons" button and the buttons are far too big. For some reason this add on is disabling my status bar and I am getting none of the messages which normally appear there. Please keep working on it, it is great.

thanks for your feedback!
The point about the statusbar should be fixed with the next release, which I plan to submit very soon.

About the buttons (small icons) it might be very useful, if you could provide me a screenshot or at least which operating system you are using. On Kubuntu 12.10 there is a "use small icons" button in TB 24.4.0. But the button should not effect the Outlookalike buttons, because they should imitate the Outlook ribbons, which are normally bigger than "standard buttons". But maybe it's another issue, so a screenshot would be very helpful. You can contact me via guitar1[at]hotmail.de
