This should be labeled Adware for the simple fact it installs onto the PC itself and not just Firefox without telling you. If you don't believe me go into add/remove programs and you will see FoxyTunes installed itself while the user assumes it only installed on Firefox. Cooliris is another example of an add-on that has Adware tactics where it installs on the PC itself without the user's knowing.

I myself have tested this add-on out in Firefox 3.6a1pre by disabling the compatibility check and I can say for a fact that it works fine. A bump to 3.6a1pre wouldn't effect anyone.

Only one problem. This pretty much blocks all controversial sites even those marked as safe by places like WOT. A proxy is supposed to protect a user not try decide where they can and can't go. For instance this blacklists MediaFire. MediaFire is a file storage site. The bad thing is with this proxy program every file of even yours that you try and download back to your own pc, you have to put that download number on their safe list. ALL DOWNLOADS. Thus you download 100 items you have to white list 100 times. Fix the issue and make it only block dangerous sites.

The guy who said he doesnt see a need for a MAC one clearly didnt hear how the MAC was easier to hack then Vista during the hackers convention. Only Linux was unhackable. But always better safe than sorry.

its incomplete compared to gmarks.
the fact is all google bookmark addons should allow you to login and stay logged into google no matter how many times you restart your browser. gmarks allows for that, while this doesnt.
another issue is the fact you cannot have an add bookmark button next to this like you can with gmarks.
the only thing this does better then gmarks is allowing for the google bookmarks icon in the navigation bar that doesnt open the sidebar in the process.

ok to start almost all downloaders can download all media files so through that way and your left with the search which is a nice feature if it weren't so limited. i think so far it only goes by videos on google owned sites (minus their adult sites). they don't mean that its limited either. this would be far better if the removed the toolbar and made it just an addon.

It's not in the description but not only does it force you to make language translator the default search engine but also offers to install optional components that are pre-checked.
Seems like the person who made it was trying to get people to install something hoping they just agreed to everything.

you can use this with the built in firefox download manager and use it just for media downloading. so not only can it be used with external downloaders but also with the built in one.
only media downloader extension currently compatible with firefox 3.1b1 rc

anyone who needs a description of what this does shouldnt be a developer or be downloading addons to begin with.
anyone who is familiar with mozilla products knows what about config is and doesnt need a detailed explanation of what it does.
normal people dont want to read a huge description of the obvious.

i can almost guarantee most bad reviews are from pedophiles. who go to all sites that have parental controls and give bad reviews.
im not in any way claiming this is the best parental control out there, but it is the best FREE one.
guys you should not give a low rating to a product because it doesnt do what a paid one does. if you want paid security. BUY IT.

a very nice theme. you can however tell its not done the back button still looks bubbly rather then smoothed out. of course the flaws are minor but are noticable none the less. still not only one of the best experimental themes but one of the best themes overall and cant wait to seethe finished product

very nice theme however there are some things need fixed
1) the seach bar which looks like it would had you used an incompible theme in firefox 3
2) the awesomebar part needs more tweaking as well.
im giving it a 5 based on potential and the fact this is an experimental version. i hope better firefox 3 integration is soon to follow

i dont read whats written because its a theme not an add-on. a theme you go by how it looks, while an add-on by how it works. if there are variations of the theme, they should all be shown. you can describe it all you want but there is no true way to tell what it looks like unless installed. thats misleading. i dont have myself to blame, the one who wouldnt show all variations of the theme, is the one to blame.

btw the guy below me who said he didnt like the concept has to be either
1) a kid himself who wants freedom to do as he pleases
or
2) a pedophile who wants kids to do as they plz so they can try and lure kids to them without parents knowing whats going on.
i mean this is the simplest, easiest, most secure way (not to mention cheapest) way protect your kid. what can be better than to have a parent have to confirm everything 1st? it will allow only kids to go to sites the parents approve of 1st.

ill give it a three because of the potential though i believe its more a 2 than 3 atm. its a very sweet looking theme but just like aerofox it doesnt do that well with firefox 3.0b5. i could see this being a top theme for years to come after it completely syncs with firefox 3
